With this experience, he has taken on the responsibility of helping Gaya Island Resort, and YTL Hotels, to pursue an active role in conservation by implementing initiatives and setting up marine conservation programmes while assisting also in coral planting and rehabilitating the coral reef. He hopes that his work will contribute in the efforts to end blast and cyanide fishing so that the coral reefs will have a chance to regrow and strive to its natural beauty once again.

Pulau Tiga (Survivor Island) is a paradise island surrounded by pristine tropical waters is located 6 miles offshore from Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. The island was formed on September 21st 1897 when an earthquake on the Philippine island of Mindanao triggered a volcanic eruption at this spot just off Borneo.The eruption of mud and rock formed a new island 20m wide.Over the next four decades subsequent eruptions developed two more islands, which have now joined together and three islands have become one.
